Sam Cawthorn is a global influencer, author, professional speaker and entrepreneur. Best known as being the 2006 Young Australian of the Year, Australia’s Highest Civil award. Growing up in country Tasmania with an Indian mum and a Scottish father he did not finish traditional education but went on to work as a youth futurist with the Australian Government. During this time he had a major car accident leaving him in a coma for one week, in hospital for five months and in a wheelchair for an entire year. His injuries included an amputated right arm and a permanent disability to his right leg.
Defying the odds, he began to share this inspirational story in schools all around Australia and went on to become an expert in resilience as an international professional speaker. Sam launched his first international best selling book BOUNCE FORWARD - How to Transform Crisis Into Success and went on to speak in over 40 countries and shared the stage with President Bill Clinton, the Dalai Lama, Sir Richard Branson and Michael Jordan. Having realised the formula in how to become a professional speaker and an influencer, he decided to teach other people how they too can learn the craft of speaking on stage. This is where Speakers Institute was launched at Google Headquarters in 2012. Speakers Institute Group of Companies runs up to 50 events globally each month.
Sam has launched 11 books, including four International Best Sellers. His resources and intellectual property is being taught all around the world in various different education institutions.
