1. Specific: SMART Goals are crystal clear about what you want to achieve. They don't leave any room for ambiguity. If you dream of becoming an author, a specific Smart Goal might be, "I will write a 200-page novel."

2. Measurable: SMART Goals can be measured. This means you can track your progress and know when you've achieved your goal. If we continue to use the example of being an aspiring author, measuring progress might involve setting monthly word count targets.

3. Achievable: SMART Goals are realistic and attainable. While we all have big dreams, Smart Goals ensure your objectives are within reach. Writing a novel is challenging, but it's achievable with dedication and hard work, as so many others have achieved this.

4. Relevant: SMART Goals align with your overall vision and are relevant to your aspirations. If becoming a published author is your dream, writing a novel is certainly relevant.

5. Time-bound: SMART Goals have a set timeframe. They give you a deadline for achieving your objective. In our author's case, it might be, "I will complete my novel within 12 months."
