Scattered around the house were Post Notes, multiple notebooks, files on my laptop, and even scribbled notes on serviettes catered for all my ideas and scattered thoughts. The disarray of ideas spread throughout the house was the ultimate-delay barrier in collating my ideas, proofing my book, establishing The Mindful Space Initiative and creating the TMSI Global app.
One day, I stumbled across this video, 'Introducing reMarkable 2' I was impressed by the sophisticated and innovative design. Still, I was drawn in by the ultra-thin, cool, sexy appearance of this notebook. The promise of writing on paper-like experience was the key factor for pulling out my credit card to make my purchase. On arrival, unpacking my reMarkable 2 was a delightful, sophisticated experience, in itself The belief that this tool would be a great place to make some notes and eventually centralise my scattered notes into one device was quite appealing. How wrong I was!!
I mucked around with this device for a few days to learn how to use it. One a Sunday afternoon, I was curled up on the couch with Netflix playing in the background, and I started to use it properly for the first time. It only took a relatively short period and I realised I was absorbed and enjoyed being in the moment. The feel of the marker moving across the surface clicked in, and I felt like I was writing on paper. My focus had become sharpened, and all external distractions faded into the distance. This tool has become a game changer for me; i use the reMarkable 2 for daily brainstorming, unleashing my creativity, fleshing out my ideas and re-arranging them - literally moving them around in my notebook. This fantastic tool has become an extension of my hand and mind, and it's just so beautiful to use.
Thank you for allowing me to share this experience with you.
