A learning disability can be challenging for a person's ability to function in society. We believe that this is not only a problem for the individual but also for society as a whole. Adults with learning disabilities may struggle with their self-confidence, self-esteem and mental wellbeing. For some they may have difficulty finding work or receive equal respect from others, but that doesn't stop these strong-willed people from trying. They deserve an opportunity to learn, grow, and excel like anyone else.

The world is filled with countless people making positive contributions to humanity, yet most go unnoticed. Not everyone will be recognised for all their hard work; many people fade into nursing homes without ever receiving recognition for how much they've done.
